Reshoots for the upcoming superhero movie “Shazam!” have begun. Cast member Zachary Levi, who is playing the titular role, made the announcement online with a close-up picture of his costume. The actor also urged his fans in the US to vote in the mid-term elections that are happening there at the moment.

It is normal practice for big budget Hollywood movies to go in for some reshoots after filming is wrapped. However, Levi is aware that reshoots sometimes suggest that the studio executives are not happy with some of the scenes, and that necessitates changes. That’s why the actor used the words “additional photography” in quotes [see below] while announcing that he is back in his superhero costume to film a few more scenes.

“Back in the saddle again. We about to make “additional photography” look rill purty,” Levi wrote in the post. The picture that the actor shared online is a close-up of his costume that shows the belt with the superhero symbol.

Along with the reshoots announcement, Levi asked the fans in the US to educate themselves about the candidates who are running for office in the mid-term elections. The actor didn’t support any party or candidate, and just asked the fans to vote according to their convictions.

“Trust that your voice does in fact mean something. And our collective voices mean everything,” Levi wrote in the post.

“Shazam!” is a light-hearted superhero movie about a 14-year-old foster kid Billy Batson (Asher Angel). The plot revolves around Billy acquiring superpowers of an ancient wizard, and turning into an adult superhero played by Levi.

The film has been directed by David F. Sandberg. It is set to be released on April 4, 2019 in Australia. The cast members of the film include Mark Strong (Dr. Thaddeus Sivana), Jack Dylan Grazer (Freddy Freeman), and Djimon Hounsou (The Wizard).

Back in the saddle again. We about to make “additional photography” look rill purty. _ Also, now that I have your attention: if you’re in the United States of America, and you care about the direction our country is heading/about to head, and how that affects all of us, I encourage you to educate yourself on the matters and candidates at hand, and then vote according to YOUR convictions. Trust that your voice does in fact mean something. And our collective voices mean everything. #wethepeople _
