Prince Charles not only walked Meghan Markle down to aisle before she married his son Prince Harry, he also gave his daughter-in-law a wedding gift. The Duchess of Sussex is believed to have been gifted a diamond tennis bracelet, which she has been seen wearing on a number of occasions.

Royal spectators have remarked on the piece of jewellery that Meghan has been repeatedly wearing. She wore the 18K white gold bracelet just before her wedding to Harry in May, as well as at a garden party she and Harry had attended with Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, after the wedding.

She has also been spotted wearing the bangle while on tour in Fiji on Wednesday. She wore a cream dress by Zimmerman and the bracelet during the day, and then a blue full-length cape dress by SAFiYAA’s Daniela Karmuts at the Fijian state dinner at the night, keeping the bracelet with her.

A Sun royal correspondent said on Twitter that the bracelet was a gift from Charles to Meghan ahead of the May 19 Royal wedding. The bracelet, according to Express, is set with 52 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 4.68 carats and is worth at least £21,814.63 (AU$38,770)  before tax.

With her own father unable to attend her wedding, it was Prince Charles who stepped in and walked Meghan down the aisle to marry Harry. The in-laws have apparently grown close to each other, with Charles calling his new daughter-in-law “Tungsten” as an endearment. The special nickname was reportedly because Charles admired Meghan for her strength.

And while Charles appears to adore Meghan, he is also reportedly fond of Kate Middleton. In the recently resurfaced university graduation video of Kate and Prince William, Charles is seen grinning wildly when the name Catherine Middleton was called on stage. It was 2005 when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge graduated; they had been dating for only two years then. Somehow, though, Charles appeared to know that Kate would become his daughter-in-law in a few years.
